We are a Cape Cod roofing contractor servicing both builders (new construction) and homeowners (reroofs). We work with all types of roofing materials, from asphalt (3-tab, architects, jets) and wood (red cedar) to rubber, synthetic slate, and copper standing seam roofs.
We do our own custom copper and heavy-duty aluminum flashing work.
While a good roof should last 30+ years (longer for asphalt), the Cape Cod weather and salt air can age shingles rather quickly. For this reason, we only use stainless steel fasteners in our work. Since our motto is “Do it right the first time,” we use only the best for our products.
We guarantee our work against leaks for five years. Manufacturers’ warranties vary by product; we will let you know on a case-by-case basis what to expect.
Skylights – The best time to install or replace your skylights is when you’re redoing your roof. Prior to scheduling your reroof, be sure to find out what condition your existing skylights are in – or if you plan to add new skylights, time the project with your reroof. We can help determine the best type and size skylight for your roof, and will install them for you.
Cupolas – If you would like to add a cupola (with or without a weather vane) to your roof, we can build and/or install it. We can also repair or replace an existing one that is in bad shape. It’s best to time any cupola work with a roof replacement.
Trim replacement – When we first look at your roof, or if we discover any rot while we’re working on it, we may recommend that you replace existing trim with PVC as part of your roofing project. PVC holds paint much better than wood, won’t rot away, and has up to five times greater longevity than traditional wood trim.
We will not put a new roof over an existing roof (also known as a layover). While a layover may save you money in the short-term by not having to pay someone to strip your roof, it will bring you headaches and added costs over time. Layovers don’t allow us to replace flashing, be sure the roof sheathing is securely fastened, or put on new roofing underlayment.
Our roofing portfolio includes churches, commercial buildings, windmills, bow roofs, round roofs, and very complicated, high-end new construction in areas like Chatham and Falmouth.
